<p>I bought a book this morning for my kindle and here is a short return of experience.</p>
<div id="attachment_411" class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 165px"><a href="http://didierb.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/screen_shot-49868.gif" rel="lightbox[410]"><img class="size-medium wp-image-411" style="border: 10px solid black; margin: 5px;" title="Advanced Presentations by Design" src="http://didierb.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/screen_shot-49868-225x300.gif" alt="Kindle book" width="155" height="195" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Kindle book</p></div>
<p><strong>Timing of the operation:</strong><br />
- Found through Google Reader (10s)<br />
- Go to Amazon.com (10s)<br />
- Thinking time &#8230; 36$ &#8230; do I need it or not ? &#8230; (15s)<br />
- One-click purchase (5s)<br />
- Download from Amazon.com (10s)<br />
- Transfer to Kindle through USB (5s)</p>
<p>Overall, this hasn&#8217;t taken me more than a minute or two. Pretty amazing no ?</p>
<p><strong>The good</strong>: Books are no longer stacking at home waiting to be read<br />
<strong>The bad</strong>: I can&#8217;t see what is my actual backlog and so, I keep buying and buying &#8230;</p>

I recently came across this wonderful tool which again makes me thank the day I switched to the Mac. Probably as useful as Quicksilver. The idea is simple, type in some special keys and it will fill it in with wathever text, image you configured it to.

Some examples:
